Our Path to our Savior

Editors note: Hannah wrote a hand-written letter to her Mom that needs to be shared.

Dear Mom,

... Sister Brown and I are staying together for another transfer and they are letting us keep the car!

So I found the quote that I tried paraphrasing during e-mails.  It was in the book, "Our Heritage, A Brief History of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints," page 143, but it comes from Howard W. Hunter's 1987 October General Conference talk and so one of the lines from it goes as follows:

"Our detours and disappointments are the straight and narrow path to Him."

I loved it when I read it and it has stuck ever since.  It is so true though too.  Because each of us experience different things that maximize our chance to follow our Savior.  Someone had mentioned how they hadn't realized how personalized each mission was for an individual.  That even though there are around 300 missionaries in the Iowa Des Moines Mission, each one of us will have completely different experiences, but they will be the experiences we need to become who the Savior has designed for us to become, if we allow them to.

Anyways, thank you for all you do.  I love you!

Love,
Sister Hannah Call
